The R&D project conducted by ALBA EMISSION FREE ENERGY, S.A under the title “Development of technological solutions for the optimal integration of hydrogen logistics with end uses” is co-funded by the Basque Government and the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027.

H2INTEGRA is a project that seeks to investigate physical and digital solutions for the creation of a hydrogen ecosystem to optimally connect and manage generation, distribution and end use.

It is a multi-year (2023-2025), strategic, collaboration-based industrial research project in which the following entities and/or actors from the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network are engaged: PETROLEOS DEL NORTE S.A. OPTIHY is an R&D project led by ALBA EMISSION FREE ENERGY S.A. entitled “Research into advanced technologies for flexible hydrogen production”.

OPTIHY seeks to research and develop advanced technologies that enable more flexible, efficient and sustainable hydrogen production, bringing together various technological pathways and optimising their operation in an industrial setting such as a refinery.

This is a competitive, multi-year (2025–2027) industrial research collaboration project involving the following organisations and/or stakeholders in the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network: Alba Emission Free Energy S.A. (leader), Petróleos del Norte S.A., Hydrogen On Site S.L., Fundación Tecnalia Research & Innovation and Petronor Innovación S.L.

EnzyEt2G is an R&D project led by Evolgene Genomics S.L. entitled “Advanced enzymes and production systems for biomass degradation and conversion into 2G bioethanol”.

The project’s overarching objective is to investigate and generate scalable knowledge about an innovative, affordable and sustainable methodology which enables the production of hydrolase enzymes using Ancestral Sequence Reconstruction (ASR) technology for producing second-generation bioethanol from residual biomass.

This is a competitive, multi-year (2025–2027) industrial research collaboration project involving the following organisations: Evolgene Genomics S.L., Cocoon Bioscience S.L. and Alba Emission Free Energy S.A.
